Saturday, June 18, 2011 - I've attended many events at the Megatrade Hall in SM Megamall but never have I seen a turnout as huge as the first day of the 10th Toys, Hobbies and Collectibles Convention (or ToyCon for short) brought! Besides the number of people who were occupying the hallways, there was a very long queue to the ticket booth. It was a good thing that I knew about the pre-selling of the 10th ToyCon tickets and had just purchased them the day before.

As soon as I got inside the convention, I immediately noticed a large group of people gathered around the Maxicollector booth where, apparently, sisters Alodia and Ashley Gosiengfiao were at. I didn't bother trying to take their photos as it was already hard enough to get a glimpse of them due to the crowd, so I went on my way and started taking pictures of the cosplayers who were around instead.

I spent most of my time just walking around and checking out what was happening inside and outside the convention as I was more interested in what was taking place in the "sidelines" than what the ToyCon had to offer. I also had the chance to chat with a few of the cosplayers. They were all very cool, particularly Dan, the Joker cosplayer. I loved how detailed and accurate his make-up and costume was, plus he was always in character whenever people would have their photos taken with him. So kudos to you guys, and keep up the great work!
